Saturday, Royal Jordanian Air Force planes began supporting the Ministry of Agriculture in combating desert locust swarms that reached Jordan. Aircraft will be utilised to spray pesticides on field crops, which will help protect them from the locusts.

The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) has taken all preparations to combat any swarms including providing the mechanisms and equipment needed for locust control. The aim is to prevent damage and prevent the locust swarms from reaching other parts of the Kingdom, in cooperation with the relevant governmental institutions.
